Katherine ("Katie") Abel's practice focuses on commercial litigation, including the representation of banks and title insurance companies. Katie is a member of the Hartford County Bar Association, the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section and Litigation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2005 and the Connecticut Bar in 2006. Katie is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

B.A., Summa Cum Laude, University of Connecticut (2001) J.D., University of Connecticut School of Law (2005). While in law school, Katie was managing editor of the Connecticut Law Review, and authored a Note entitled "The Pregnancy Discrimination Act and Insurance Coverage for Infertility Treatment: An Inconceivable Union," 37 Conn. L. Rev. 819 (2005).

Katie resides in Manchester where she enjoys running, reading non-law related books, and pursuing her black belt in karate.
